Today, it was a year ago that I met the boy that is now the love of my life. A week from now a year ago, that boy, he and I became we, and we we've been ever since. Over the months from now a year ago, we've had our quarrels and words misspoken, but we we always stayed. And years from now today, I hope we're still we, but even if we become the simple he and I, the following words will forever be true: I love you.

In a faraway land full of beauty and dreams, one meets another and they become so close. A season's now passed: flowers now bloom in fields that stretch like misty colours in the sky. Over these months, like the snow, now gone, they shared all their secrets and together they lifted unbearable pains. Blossoms of love unfurled between them, and the world thought them inseperable. But just as the world is beginning to warm in the lush summer sun, storms break and lightning crashes, and the lovers get lost in the floods. One searches for the other with no fatigue, while the other gives up hope for the always they once dreamt of.

The sun and the moon look down upon us. They envy our love from high above and do all they can to stop us. The moon asks the earth to keep us apart and so far are we from each other, just like the sun and the moon... A year it's been now and counting, yet have we to feel the other's touch upon our waiting skin. "Not much longer," I whisper, though my words spoken never manage to reach you. Days turn to years and seconds to months, I know the cliché as I long for the day that the earth relents and we can be together.

Clatter and Clamour

A heart that beats so strong that it produces a song. Every beat of the heart plays a beat of the song until the rhythm is taken up by the soul and it adds its whispers of emotion, building up the music, and the mind just can't help but follow along with electro pulses of pure imagination. Then the body is swayed; the foot taps out a beat and the heart continues its rhythm and what harmony these organs create is unrivaled by any man composition. Alas... these songs of the heart and soul and mind and body will never be heard by the ear, for the ear is too busy listening to the clatter and clamour of the world of man.

Spinning, spinning, oh what a wonderful thing~ Spin, spin! until the world is nothing... but a blur~ Dizzy, so dizzy. Can't think straight... What can I do next? Go insane?! Maybe. Why would you want to be sane, anyway? Sane's so boring. Unoriginal. Feels like you're mind's stuck in a rut. Deranged! Psychotic! Crazy! Insane! Who cares what you call it. It's so much more fun! Every thought is new and how interesting!~ A simple butterfly landing on a flower... It's so hypnotizing, you can't help but stare... But sadly, I'm just spinning.

I was just lying near the bay just as I would any other day. The sun was out bright warm shining pulsing. A few lost cirrus strayed from their pack and cumulus attempted to herd them back. Few thoughts crossed my mind, or at least not many did I find. The brackish water of the bay lapped washed drenched soothed. I realized it was getting late, and I began to think about the date. Oh I wish the calendar would speed along just as fast as my favourite song. The clouds above wandered shifted gathered darkened. How much longer must I wait? Or is longing my final fate? There's nothing in sight on this dark, starry night. Up at the sky I gaze, and the stars appear to be a maze. Oh how I wish you were here to witness this, but alas, this sight you will miss. I pick a lonesome hyacinth and wonder where ends that starry labyrinth. "Oh," I tell the flower, "I wish I had more power." I wouldn't use it for evil, nor good either. Just bring you here, so we could watch the stars together.

When he is alone in the dark, he thinks. He listens to the rain as it bathes the glass, and he wonders if the windows need showers there too. He listens to the wind bully innocent branches, and he wonders if the wind is mean there too. He watches the moon as it watches him too, and he wonders if the moon is so curious there too. He reads the words and they sing a story of love, and he wonders if the words sing so beautifully there too. He feels the dark as it caresses him so gently, and he wonders what it would feel like there, in the dark.

Sugar Cane Breath

One afternoon by a forgotten lagoon, we walked along the shore, not sure what was in store. We walked and talked, and he cut a stalk of sweet sugar cane. He placed it in my mouth, not bothering to explain. The peaceful tide washed the sand and he and I stepped in, hand-in-hand. I felt chills on my toes, but the rest of my shivers weren't from the flows. We looked eye-to-eye and he was so beautiful I thought I would die. He went in for the kiss and together we were in sugar-cane-breath bliss.
